The Original Station 4

Bloomsbury Ave Station

Circa 1886

 

The orignal firehouse was located at #22 Bloomsbury Ave. Then was relocated to its current location to 756 Frederick Rd. The station was originally #5 of 11 firehouse's in Baltimore County.

This building also included the Catonsville police station. The Police Station was located in the right front corner where currently the County Councilman's office is located.

Engine's

 

Engine 4 (1919 American La France) in front of the Bloomsbury Ave. Station.

Engine 5 (American La France) which ran out of the Catonsville station until the opening of the Halethorpe Fire Station.

 One more generation of Paramedic 4 (Ford)

 

 

 

Horton Medic 4 was just retired in 2007. This was the first medic of this style purchased by BCoFD. It's was used as the trainer unit for county and then sent to Catonsville. It now serves in the counties reserve fleet.
